Associate Director, Intellectual Property (IP) and Risk Management

The IP and Risk Management, AD will be instrumental in creating and implementing all aspects of The Corporate Executive Board’s internal corporate controls. This person will manage the process of identifying risk across all lines of business and identifying policies and procedures to mitigate risk.

This position will work directly with senior firm management and report to the Chief Financial Officer

Responsibilities Include:

Establishing the basis of how risk is viewed and addressed

Information category identification

Threat, vulnerability, and safeguard identification

Refining existing and implementing new IP and risk management strategies across the enterprise

Developing methodology for ongoing identification and evaluation of risks

Formulation of controls, policies, and procedures for staff

Evaluation and coordination of corporate risk management technology enablers

Build out of contingency and response management team

Designing training curriculum and individual modules based on staff needs

Source and disseminator of risk management information through effective communication up, down, and across the organization

Ideal Candidate would posses:

5+ years of experience identifying, managing and creating internal control solutions (consulting background preferred)

Desire for project work and managing multi-constituency initiatives with proven ability to juggle priorities and manage a number of completing demands at once

Strong interpersonal and communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external constituencies

Ability to be creative, self-motivated, proactive and persistent with a drive towards results

Willingness to draw conclusions and defend a point of view

Attention to detail is critical, striving for precision and accuracy without losing sight of the bigger picture

Demonstrated leadership, strategic vision and analytical skills
