The job duties of the buyer are: Manage the purchasing activities of their assigned commodities.

Manage daily ERP purchase order suggestions and change order suggestions of their assigned commodities.

Manage purchasing activities by procuring required levels of component inventory and ensuring materials are continually scheduled and rescheduled as required.

Contribute to cost reduction activities of their assigned commodities.

When applicable, manipulate work order operations to affect preferred supply chain outcome.Be receptive to expanded responsibilities as determined by the Materials Manager.Act as a backup for absent personnel.
