Growing Employment Agency seeks a professional, experienced ASSISTANT CONTROLLER to join our staff in a full-time position.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

*Federal and multi-state payroll tax filings for parent and subsidiary companies (quarterly)

*Reconciliation of payroll data to filings (quarterly)

*Preparation of financial reports for management (weekly, monthly, quarterly), including all prior review work

*Oversight of two bookkeepers who handle payroll data entry and processing, AP and AR processing

* Cross-training to cover for head bookkeeper in heavy in-house payroll processing position (for vacations, sick days, etc.)

*AR collection activity and preliminary new-client qualification

*Insurance oversight (general), Workers Comp heavy hands-on claims management, unemployment insurance maintenance and oversight of claims response program

*General oversight of sales margins, cost of sale, operating expenses and improving same at all times

Background required:

*Prior staffing company experience a plus; light industrial experience a significant plus

*General computer skills and knowledge must be excellent

*Must have had experience in new software implementation, including conversion from an old system to a new one

*Accounting (min 5-7 years) experience, with heavy hands-on concentration in in-house payroll processing

*Must have multi-state payroll tax filing experience (not that they worked in multiple states, but that their company has filed in multiple states)

*Experienced in direct dealings with bankers, lenders, funders

*Experienced in collections, credit checking, etc.

*Experienced in overseeing and coordinating small staff

*Experienced in volume processing of W2′s in-house a plus
