You are selling credit card processing, Gift card services, software and hardware solutions to businesses.

My client is one of the nation’s premier providers of transaction processing services/technologies.

As an Account Rep, you will market your protected territory to provide business solutions designed to help your client manage their business more effectively.

This is a solutions based sale which any and all businesses are clients (retail, restaurant, corporate, grocery, physicians, lawyers, etc.). What makes this role different and key: Part of your position is working with assigned bank partnerships.

These partnerships are already established and provide you a strong lead source.

They recommend their clients and forward those leads to you. Business networking is also an important element of the position (Chamber of Commerce, BNI, etc.) This position involves high level of prospecting as well as account management.

You manage the book of business you sell and reap the rewards of your efforts with Residuals.

KEY OBJECTIVE: Under limited supervision, primary responsibility is to underwrite individual risks.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties may include but are not limited to: a.

Solicits new and renewal submissions from brokersb.

Determines terms and conditions and complex rating plansc.

Binds coveraged.

Documents the underwriting filese.

Handles more complex files and portfolios within underwriting authority D.

SCOPE Fundamentals of coverage, terms and conditions.

Ability to offer coverage, terms and conditions which generate a profit for the Company while meeting the needs of the customer.

Risk Assessment.

Ability to identify risk exposures, special or common hazards, and appropriate controls.

Ability to select risk based on exposure and risk analysis.

Ability to analyze claims and quantify losses.

Financial proficiency.

Understanding of financial statements and ratios used in risk analysis.

Understanding of insurance financial fundamentals; impact of underwriting decisions on company assets.

Ability to understand credit risk.

Actuarial fundamentals.

Ability to understand loss trends, loss triangles, and ratemaking.

Ability to quantify risk based on experience history and forecasting methods.

Marketing and Communications.

Ability to sell and negotiate to achieve bottom line profitability for the Company.

Ability to make presentations and communicate articulately.

Ability to base communications on strategic thinking.

Ability to manage producer strategy.

Systems and programs.

Ability to use systems and software programs needed to conduct daily businessE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS* 3-5 years underwriting experience* Bachelors degree F.
