KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Cummins Performance Management System(CPMS) Definitions: This role will manage all Reliability Standard Work for new product development (VPI) on the XPI and Piezo Fuel Systems .
and any new fuel systems that may be chartered in the Fuel Systems Engineering Technology scope of work.
The employee will be a Cummins member of the XPI joint venture with Scania.
The employee may become involved on alternate fuels work under military contract, but this could only be determined at a later date on a case-by-case basis.
SKILLS – FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL: SkillTrack Role TE-RFE01 “VPI Reliability Leader”The VPI Reliability Leader is responsible for the overall management of the reliability program across all of the M phases of the VPI program.
This includes the planning, implementing, tracking, reporting, and closure of the reliability program.
The reliability leader will focus the reliability program on three primary areas: the elimination of previous failures, the prevention of new failures, and the detection of current failures.
The reliability leader will help the VPI program balance the Cost/Quality/Delivery triangle by appropriately applying existing corporate design & reliability processes/guidelines and current reliability best practices.
The Reliability Leader may also need to address customer specific reliability work elements or metrics.
