POSITION PURPOSE As a Manager, Clinical Engineering, you will oversees and lead operations of multiple Clinical Engineering (CE) departments supporting four (4) or more hospitals linked primarily to a single Ministry Organization (MO) and having a combined bed count exceeding seven-hundred (700).

Provides a quality, cost effective, CE program that meets or exceeds customers and THCE (Trinity Health Clinical Engineering) quality goals and financial objectives.

Provides MO with an aggressively managed medical equipment maintenance service program that lowers annual cost of service while elevating equipment uptime, and providing the highest level of customer service.

Assists with and oversees technology assessment, forecasting medical equipment replacement needs, and capital equipment purchasing.

Supports MO special projects as related to area of expertise and responsibility.

Serves as technical advisor on medical device purchases, safety related issues/concerns, regulatory requirements, Joint Commission Standards specific to the Environment Of Care (EOC), and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.

Networks with THCE peers and Regional Directors (RD), participates in strategic planning at both the MO level and THCE Program Unified Service Organization (USO) level.

Assists, leads, guides and mentors staff in career growth, skill development, and work performance and expectations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS1.

Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of Clinical Engineering as normally obtained through a Bachelors degree and seven (7) or more years of experience in that field.

2. Strong written and oral communication skills.

3. Skilled in financial management and budgeting required.

4. Ability to comprehend data in financial reports and determine anomalies.

5. Multi-hospital supervisory experience required.

6. Creative, innovative attitude and the willingness to listen and implement change when required.

7. Strong computer skills.
