Infrastructure Data Analyst The Decision and Information Sciences Division at Argonne National Laboratory, located 25 miles southwest of Chicago, Illinois has two immediate openings for Infrastructure Data Analysts.

These positions are initially for one year but are potentially renewable for up to three years.

The work involves evaluating the security of critical national infrastructures such as energy, transportation, telecommunications, chemicals, water, and others.

Responsibilities involve review and analysis of critical infrastructure information that includes descriptive, spatial, and documentary data sets and data streams.

The analyst will conduct consistency and completeness checks, design and document applications and processes for information integration and review, and work with the support of software developer staff to create information analysis tools.

The applications and processes will typically involve Oracle databases, but will include Microsoft Access, Excel, and other formats.

Applicants must have a MS degree (2 or more years of experience) or BS degree (6 or more years of experience) in engineering, physical science, computer science, or related social science field.

The successful candidates should have knowledge of one or more critical national infrastructure systems and have experience analyzing and evaluating critical infrastructure information from a security perspective.

Experience with the Information Technology, Energy, Transportation, or Water sectors is of special interest.

Candidates must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a clearance.
