Provides advice and counsel to area leaders and managers regarding HR issues in areas relating to staffing/recruiting, compensation, span of control, organizational policies and procedures, employee relations, performance management and benefits.
Provides daily support to employees as first point of contact for all HR employee matters.
Partners with other HR team members on HR related issues and organizational initiatives.
Implements and utilizes effective recruitment strategies to attract highly qualified candidates and conducts in-depth screening of perspective applicants and establishes and maintains a strong recruiting presence.
Essential Functions: Assists HR Director/Manager in the design, planning and implementation of human resources programs and policiesAdministers full lifecycle recruitment process for any and all positions related to a health insurance company, including clinical roles, sales staffing, leadership positions, provider relations, finance, etc.Administers HR programs and practices relating to recruitment, employee relations, EEO reporting, grievance procedures, compensation, training, benefits administration and payroll.
Assist with retention strategies to support culture and reduce turnover.
Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of the business and provides creative solutions to HR issues to maximize success of the business.
Provides timely and accurate policy interpretation.
Makes recommendations to assist in the development of changes in employment procedures, policies and forms to better facilitate the recruiting process.
Develops collaborative working relationships with recruitment agencies and representatives to ensure adequate coverage of personnel needs.
Provides assistance and training to HR Assistants, HR Generalist and Recruiters.
Delivers training initiatives as required based on organizational needs.
Field HR Generalist may have additional duties including facilities and creation of regional programs.
Education/Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent directly related HR generalist/Recruiting experience.
5 – 7 years of progressively responsible HR experience, including at least 3 years as a Recruiter.
Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills requiredGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel to create simple documents such as memos and reportsStrong project management and analytical skills requiredExcellent conflict resolution skills requiredProven track record of building relationships and influencing all levels of organization
