Linde is currently seeking a Sr. Application Engineer to join the team in Atlanta, GA. Job Responsibilities: Technical Sales: · To grow sales of industrial gas products and technical solutions to new and existing customers in the Food, Beverage, Metals, Glass, Chemicals, Manufacturing and Energy Segments within respective market geography at margins in excess of the commodity business.
· To serve as the technical expert and process leader to drive local sales throughout the Linde Pro sales process for both the acquisition of new customers and the retention of existing customers· Differentiates Lindes equipment and solution offerings from competitors by applying creativity, innovation, and value added sales approach· Supports the sales teams and segment management regarding opportunity qualification, technical and customer feedback, cost of support and proposal writing for technical solutions· Will generate $1.

0M annually of new gas and equipment revenue derived from applications/technology based solutions and play a major role in retaining existing customer base of $10M to $15M through process knowledge and technical expertise· Serving as subject matter experts of competitive solution offerings· Serve as the local commercial development agent for a primary and secondary Segment (Food, Beverage, Metals, Glass, Chemicals, Manufacturing and Energy) with principle responsibility for new product commercialization and customer insight for new product development· Actively listens, probes and identifies customer concerns, understands our customers business; translates into segment trends and or market needs Technical Services: · Lead the customer value identification and calculation for the potential Linde solution offer· Lead the applications equipment/technical solution design working closely with the Applications Equipment Team in Cleveland, Segment Management team and the Markets sales organization· As part of customer value creation and identification efforts, provide customer support including audits at the customer, process optimization, training, safety and process calculations· Maintains and increases technical knowledge and competence in company’s products, applications and services· Independently applies advanced skills to resolve complex issues not covered by existing procedures or practices.
