Field Promotions Manager National consumer goods and services Company focused on the US Hispanic market is seeking an experienced bilingual fluent (Spanish / English) versed in field promotions and experimental marketing including prepaid calling cards and telecommunication services.
Ideal candidate will have working knowledge of consumer products experience with an emphasis on retail promotions, product launch, consumer sampling, developing brand awareness through effective strategies using viral marketing, social networking, grass-roots, and guerrilla tactics to produce increased brand awareness and other promotional marketing objectives; experience managing field promotions brand ambassadors, including but not limited to, social networking product and brand activations; strong organizational skills; and an approach utilizing best practices to increase market share, customer interaction and reduce costs within the Hispanic/Mexican communities.
Responsibilities: · Identifying key strategic marketing partners and prospects in the community.
· Creating segmented and prioritized market map for promotions.
· Building and maintaining relationships within the community as a company representative.
· Adapting and remaining current in the changing marketplace to effectively communicate with customer and prospects.
· Recruiting, training and managing a field team of project workers to be accountable and effective promoters.
· Developing innovative and creative promotions approaches to target end customers.
· Maintaining constant communication with in-market distribution partner and parent company to keep informed of activities and progress.
· Developing events and promotions calendar and budget.
· Working with agencies and marketing partners on promotions development and execution.
Knowledge and Skills: · Bilingual fluent Spanish / Englisho As the “face” of the company in the designated market, he/she MUST speak fluent Spanish and be able to demonstrate cultural sensitivity and empathy for the target market.
· Bachelors in Marketing· 3+ years experience with direct people management in an assigned territory/field.
o Recruitment, hiring, training, employment relations & managing street level marketers.
· 3+ years direct experience in consumer promotions.
o Participating in field development & implementationo Events & retail promotion programso Demonstrated expertise in new market planningo Team player seasoned in collaborating with corporate marketing and field sales teams.
· Experience working with Hispanic consumer target market and similar retail channels such as independent c-stores, small chain stores, liquor stores, bodegas, tiendas, and ethnic supermarkets.
· Ideal candidate has been involved in implementing field marketing from “zero” and able to follow required methodology and approach for measuring field execution against marketing plan.
· Ability, interest and prior experience covering a large territory with up to 75% of the time in the field.
· Demonstrated success in a world class field marketing/field promotions organization.
· Keen market intelligence and familiarity with local market geography, culture, retail environment, etc. including a strong network of potential marketing partners (vendors, contract workers, community organizations/associations, and media partners); possess strong “street” instincts and a keen ability to customize a marketing plan for a specific market.
· PC and Microsoft Office applications knowledge required.
This is a 7 day a week operation that requires working weekends.
Relocation allowance and sponsorship are not offered.
