Responsibilities: · Build, prototype, improve, gather requirements for, document, and support reports, tools, and processes that satisfy internal and customer needs· Perform quantitative research, including data acquisition and cleaning· Proactively identify areas where data analysis can be used to the companys advantage· Mine our data sets to identify opportunities for customers to gain visibility into their payment processing, grow revenue, and reduce costs· Become an authority on our databases and reporting systems· Provide analytical support to help formulate recommendations on issues across all departments· Regularly generate, distribute, monitor, and perform quality assurance on reports· Complete ad hoc projects and assist the Manager of Business Intelligence with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications: · Significant quantitative research experience, with at least an undergraduate and preferably a graduate degree in a quantitative field· The drive and ability to solve quantitative research problems independently and to get results quickly via thorough implementation· Extensive experience working with large data sets, preferably in a relational database environment· Advanced programming skills in MATLAB or demonstrably transferrable skills in other languages· Extreme attentiveness to detail and motivation to minimize error· Excellent written and communication skills and attention to the visual display of quantitative information· The ethics and integrity to handle confidential information· The desire, intuition, organizational skills, and flexibility to add value while balancing several responsibilities· The ability to have fun while doing all of the above.
