Responsible for the supervision and development of functional team engineers and oversight of all functionally specific R&D projects.
Responsible for driving technical projects to completion by ensuring effective use of teams resources (including budget), appropriate scheduling, and inter-departmental relationships.
Develops new processes, procedures for design and knowledge transfer of new products into manufacturing, and sustaining the organization.
Key Responsibilities: Drive technical development of projects to ensure design meets customer/market requirements and maximizes project resources.
Manage project timelines, identifying and resolving any engineering issues that may arise.
Ensure milestones are met in a timely manner.
Ensures that all technical decisions are cost-effective and meet marketing requirements.
Ensure all appropriate documentation and Engineering Change Order is prepared Responsible for development of functional teams talent by way of training, growth development and succession planning.
Education and Experience Required: Bachelors degree in engineering required Technical expert in assigned engineering discipline Completion of formal project management training (eg Project Management Professional (PMPĀ® and the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPMĀ®) credentialing programs) preferred.
