Responsible for the design, planning, and implementation of the application architecture domain as part of the overall enterprise architecture.
Translates short and long range strategic plans into design and implementation of current and future applications to support business solutions.
Acts a technical expert across application development and systems integration solutions.
All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
This position can be located in either Branchville, NJ or Glastonbury, CT.Define and evangelize application development standards, best practices and procedures, as well as programming architectures for code reuse.
Design and develop enterprise class components, services, and integration solutions.
Understand and consistently apply the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies.
Define physical architecture requirements for application solutions with consideration for scalability, manageability, and security.Act as a technical leader, consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent.
Define the enterprise application architecture future state road map.Act as a technical consultant in the areas of performance, tuning, and health monitoring.
Identify implementation risks and analyzes potential impact to the enterprise application architecture.
Coordinate development projects and programs to insure compliance with shared application strategies.
Knowledge at the expert level of application design methodologies and development technologies.
Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)Experience with Microsoft development technologies including: ASP.NET, VB.NET, ADO.NET, SharePoint, and BizTalkExperience with Web development technologies including JavaScript, XML, XSLT, DHTML, CSSAbility to express complex technical concepts effectively (verbally and written)Ability to understand and clearly relate to other members of the organization, technical manuals, software specifications, and general methods of systems software operations.
Must be passionate and pragmatic in the delivery of reliable, consistent, accurate, and scalable application architecture solutions.
College degree in computer science or a related field preferred.
8 years experience in application design and development of complex systems.
